Big Brother is Watching You

Technology and social media opened up new channels of communication and Governments are scarred of its potential and power....

Big Brother Banning and Watching

1. Turkey bans Twitter to stifle public discussion of government corruption....

In order to cover up government policies... Erdogan, Turkish prime minister, who has dominated Turkish politics for 11 years, is battling a corruption scandal that has been fed by social media awash with alleged evidence of government wrongdoing.

The US parades Turkey as a model of democracy that Middle Eastern and other Islamic countries should emulate.
Turkey bans Twitter, attacks demonstrators...Supports Islamic extremists who attack Christians and occupy churches...in Syria and Iraq and Egypt and Nigeria...
This is the model that the US wants us to emulate....

2. The Government is watching your every step and reading all you write...in order to protect you and your democratic rights...

Edward Joseph Snowden
American computer specialist, former employee of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and former contractor for the national Security Agency (NSA).

He revealed that CIA and NSA are running global surveillance programs...and are following all the emails and blogs and twitters that people publish and send on social media.
  • He revealed Five Eyes - US of A, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, with the cooperation of a number of businesses and European governments.
Beware...Your government is watching you. reading your e-mails blogs, twitters...
They are watching your every step...So as they will protect your democratic rights....

Big Brother is always awake and looking after you...So as you will have just enough freedom of speech that they want you to have.

  • Big Brother may ban Twitter...because it may harm you...and your democratic rights.
  • Big Brother will read your e-mail...because it wants to protect you.

Update....Cat and Mouse Game with Big Brother

Google just beefed up the security of Gmail to make mass surveillance of its customers' email nearly impossible. It's not quite NSA-proof, but it's close.

To accomplish the feat, Google  secured how you connect to its servers. Gmail is now strictly using a secure communications protocol called HTTPS, which encrypts your email on its entire journey: from your computer to Google, between Google's servers, and from Google to the person receiving your email.
In a blog post Thursday,March 21,  top Gmail security engineer Nicolas Lidzborski said the increased security was in response to disclosures about government surveillance made by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.
